Cedarwood Essential Oil

Cedarwood essential oil has been known for its various benefits to the skin, even though it is not yet one of the most popular of ingredients.  It remains one of the most effective in certain ways.  It has a soft, spicy aroma that generates a feeling of warmth when used for its scent and aroma.  But it is also rich in alpha and beta cedrenes, and it has been proven to have sedative effects in clinical trials conducted in Japan.  Likewise, it has been used for its astringent and antiseptic properties.  It tightens skin tissue to relax the skin in some ways and firm it up in others.  It has also been used to treat acne, oily skin, eczema, wrinkles in certain ways(mostly preventative), and it has been used to treat blemished skin in general.  it is also an abtisborrhoeic, which works on the endocrine system to normalize sweat gland production, which can be related to acne, because many would say that sweat largely contributes to acne in so many ways.  There are many applications for cedarwood oil just as there are many applications for essential oils in general.  You should realize its limitations and it certainly shouldn’t be on its own.  But there are plenty of good combinations to be used with cedarwood oil to get rid of your acne, improve the tone and texture of your skin, and otherwise help you to get the results you want.
