Sometimes, I wonder if celebrities ever really use diet pills. I really do, because quite frankly, there are certain celebrities that were known to get fat such as Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, and others, and then they were suddenly skinnier. In some cases, I’m relatively sure it was partly surgery. But frankly, liposuction can only remove so much and then it creates an imbalance and therefore other trouble spots in the body in general. Of course, diet pills don’t come with the same problems, even though they can come with other problems. I know of at least one athlete who has used diet pills and plenty have used illegal substances and other drugs and performance enhancers in general terms. But as far as diet pills go, well they could have technically lost a ton of weight fast, especially when combined with the professional workout plans and diet plans they often have access to. But they’re not exactly challenged by the same things, because they have access to so many other accommodations the general public does not. So I have to wonder if most ever really use diet pills or if they just use the extra things that they can access that the rest of us really can’t.

Do Celebrities Use Diet Pills?
Saturday, September 19th, 2009Menopause Flare Ups
Thursday, September 17th, 2009Menopause is a big flare up time in acne for many people, and it’s something to consider if you are suffering through it. In general terms, if you are going through menopause as every woman eventually has to, you are likely to experience hot flashes, dryness, mood swings, sleep disruptions, irritability, and general discomfort. Basically speaking, women have both estrogen and a small amount of testosterone flowing through their body at any given time, and when they go through menopause, there are higher levels of testosterone in comparison to estrogen. This over time means that frankly your skin will start producing more sebum for one thing. Producing more sebum or oils means you will naturally have greater outbreaks and greater problems in general. This being the case, you need to take greater lengths than you may be used to. Most women don’t have acne at this age, but some do. So either way, start using a better cleanser, an acne specific cleanser. Also just step up the regularity of your skincare regimen. This will obviously help you to achieve better results in general, and you really can’t go wrong with taking it an extra step further in fighting these hormonally based problems in general.
The Spray Scam
Thursday, September 17th, 2009Now I’ve used sprays before, I’ve used gels, I’ve used serums, I’ve used washes, the list really goes on. I’ve even tried pills, which by the way I’ve actually found to be the most effective in so many ways. But this being said, one of my favorite scams is the spray. Quite frankly, the spray sounds like a good idea. It goes on lightly, and it’s so easy. But think about it. How many particles get lost in the air, so you end up going through more if you really think about it just to get enough on the skin to actually get those concentrations, power, and have that particular effect. This being said, if you actually look at every single spray out there, they don’t even bother using the right amounts and concentrations anyway, let alone the right ingredients. It’s one thing if a gel doesn’t or uses only one ingredient, at least it’s actually getting on your skin. The spray doesn’t even have that generalized benefit. So like I said, the idea of a spray is one of my favorite scams, at least right now. But what would we do without them, oh, we wouldn’t have to search for months or even years to find the right treatment. We would just get good products! Wouldn’t that be the day.
Unrealistic Expectations
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009I have spent years as a teenager searching for the best acne treatments on one mistaken basis, the idea that it would actually cure my acne. I thought that if I used it for a month or two, I should be able to stop using it, and the best acne treatments would make it so that my acne would never come back. Needless to say, I went through a lot of acne treatments that way. And that’s one of the beauties of being a teenager who knows everything. You do stupid things like that. Granted, it wasn’t all wasted. I didn’t find the best acne treatments until adulthood, because quite frankly I never really made it to the point with most acne treatments of even getting rid of my acne in the first place. I would use them for a few months at a time, and I would quite literally see no results at all, either that or my acne would actually get worse, take your pick. So obviously, the fact that I judged those to not be the best acne treatments was based on some kind of logic. But my expectations for after were unreasonable. This being said, when I finally found my choice in acne treatments, I still use it to this day. But I had greater references in general as to what to expect.
Double Trouble
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009It’s really too bad sometimes. Everybody has trouble spots that they hate and generally speaking you get either one or the other. But I’ve seen at least one girl who seems to have the worst of every world. By this I mean usually women either have a belly problem or hip and thigh problems if they are going to have trouble spots in general. My friend who likes to compare notes with just about everybody somehow managed to get both. She used to be a bigger girl. She has never used weight loss supplements in her life to be quite honest. But she just started dieting and exercising, and she went from a size 14 to a size 2. She now tells me she has thunder thighs and a belly, which with the clothes she chooses, I never even realized it before. That’s the benefit of the right clothes of course. But it is amazing. At a size 2, because of those trouble spots, she does have larger thighs than I do at a size 8 and she has the belly. It doesn’t honestly make any sense, and while for any trouble spot you just have to do cardio to burn off the fat, she’s as good as you get in being well behaved about her diet and exercise plan. Still, it sounds a bit weak when she insists on knowing what I do and all I can say is do more cardio. For obvious reasons, nobody ever really wants to hear that. And frankly, while some weight loss supplements always like to claim that you can target trouble areas because of their amazing formula, I have never actually found that to be legitimate at all.
Multiple Uses For Strawberries
Monday, September 14th, 2009I buy huge shells of strawberries at Costco. Costco is how I buy the great majority of my food quite frankly, and while I only buy a few things at a time, the things are so big that you don’t always make it all the way through before it goes bad, especially with fresh fruits like strawberries. Frankly, I love strawberries, and so when I buy a shell I have multiple uses. I make pies, eat them fresh, make shortcake, and I make facial masks. Strawberries have always been prized for their extreme levels of vitamin C for one thing, and that’s good considering I am too picky about my quality of oranges and orange juice in general. Too much one way or the either in ripening tastes funny to me. But when used on your skin, vitamin C is one of those vitamins that you can never get too much of. Plus, it has salicylic acid, which is an extremely cheap and common, yet effective ingredient in fighting acne. Frankly, when combining it with honey, it works even better for its antibacterial properties among other things. Strawberries in general are one of the best foods you can use for your skin, and it makes it a lot easier for me to deal with those huge shells and everything else.
Hormonal Chin Acne
Saturday, September 12th, 2009It seems like one of the most common places for women to breakout is the chin. I’ve always broken out around the forehead, but that was before I grew out my bangs, and quite frankly, it becomes quite obvious why you’re breaking out in one area when your hair is always there and trading oils with your face all the time. That being said, apparently women are more likely to suffer certain hormonal balances, you think? Anyway, when you have these hormonal imbalances, it creates more progesterone in general which causes more excess oil to be produced. This causes greater acne in general, and according to reports hormonal acne in particular is far more likely to appear around the chin. This is something I’ve discovered especially recently, mostly since I grew out my bangs eliminating the focus on that particular area and problem. I don’t understand all the fine lines of it and everything like that. But I do know that chin acne can be rather inconvenient as can any area of acne, but it should be dealt with just like any other case of acne, by dealing with all the contributors rather than just one or two using a more comprehensive formula in general.
Grapefruit Benefits
Thursday, September 10th, 2009I know it’s odd, but I am not really fond of the grapefruit. So when the whole office smelled like it this morning, I was a bit disgusted. I don’t know if someone actually lit a match or what they did, because there was no grapefruit in the fridge or other area around it. But that got me thinking about the benefits of the grapefruit. There is a whole diet or two variations of the same diet that have been used to achieve it. But the grapefruit is more than just that. If you can actually use it, it is highly beneficial to the skin. It works as a great antibacterial and antiseptic, and it has healing properties that help the skin to easily regenerate itself. It has also been known to cleanse the digestive tract, which means essentially speaking, it is clearing out some toxins when used in a proper diet that may be holding you back and causing greater bacteria levels to seep through the skin. It can also increase the breakdown of fat in the body and fight other viruses and infections in general. it has been known to work as an active exfoliator to the skin, which basically helps you to deal with quite a few of your acne problems in general, and this can obviously help you being that it is also rich in certain vitamins and minerals your skin needs. So all in all, though I’m not a huge fan of grapefruit, I will admit it is good for you.
Psychological Impact Of Acne
Wednesday, September 9th, 2009The fact is that acne can have a serious impact on your self esteem. In some ways it seems unlikely to some. But it does actually work out in that fashion, and it’s definitely not something you want to mess with. In high school, you already have your drama, I will be the first to admit I was not the most mature high school student to say the least, and it presented serious problems. Even when it was just one zit, it took a toll, and mine never seemed like the small and somewhat inconsequential ones that were rather easy to cover up. They were always a big deal in some ways for me. This being said, adult acne can be even harder to deal with. I deal with it now, and quite frankly, sometimes it seems like I should be past this. I mean I’m an adult, I have a professional job, I am not some pimple faced teenager anymore. And yet my hormones or something are not under control enough to actually deal with it for some reason. And if you have more severe acne, it can really take a toll even producing permanent scarring. You do your best to avoid it, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out the way you want it to. Some go into counseling because it gets that serious. But some it’s a big more manageable and really they have the ability to see it in a greater perspective. But many do not, at least not at the time they are suffering from it.
Cupping Therapy
Tuesday, September 8th, 2009I’ve heard of various beauty treatments to improve the skin, which means reducing acne, reducing wrinkles, reducing scarring and discoloration, the list really goes on. But one of the more popular things lately is called cupping therapy. It’s partly popular, because it actually comes from ancient Chinese medicine, and it basically works by using small plastic suction cups. They attach to a suction machine and then vacuum your skin or face in general. it begins at the lymph node in the neck, and from there it works across the rest of the face, pulling the skin up lightly at first. They claim that by doing this, you would naturally stimulate the blood flow, which would increase general nutrient delivery to the skin. They also say that it improves the skin’s natural collagen production for smooth, lifted skin. They claim it should be dispensed in about 8 applications in general terms, and if you get the blood flowing, it generally has the effect of also getting bacteria pushed out in some ways instead of sticking in the skin and otherwise causing more acne, as you will also see with oils in general. There is not really proof that it works, so of course proceed with caution before paying too much for it.
